About Me: Sally-Shakti Willow

Sally-Shakti Willow: WRITING & THRIVING

Writing my PhD in Utopian Poetics showed me what it means to be a writer. I wrote four books of poetry and a 60,000 word academic thesis, and I started journaling as a way to ground and heal myself.

In the academic context I was always an outsider.  Raised in a working-class family, I was the first of anyone I knew to pursue a PhD.  Visionary & creative, my core values were often at odds with those around me.  I had a lot of trauma and self-limiting beliefs to overcome to get me where I am today, and I’m still doing the work on myself.  Writing and embodied wellbeing practices are helping me to transform and heal.

Working with words goes deep.

Words are in my body and in my blood.  Words have been at the heart of my lifelong practice and have supported my transformation at every level – from healing and releasing the deepest ancestral wounds and root traumas to creating and manifesting real, lasting change in my life.

I know how it feels to align myself with the power of words.  And I know how it feels when I don’t.  When I’m not grounded in my practice, I’m not grounded in myself.  It’s been a long path to overcoming the deep layers of trauma and limitation that have shaped my life and kept me small.  And it’s been my work with words that has raised my vibration every step of the way.

Now I work with words as ritual, words as magick, words as vibrational energies, and I offer Writing & Thriving Coaching to support YOU to THRIVE while you’re WRITING.
